Reg was born in Chatham in 1935 and has been a life long resident.  During those years he has been an active volunteer not only in hockey but in other areas as well.  He worked in Chatham Minor Hockey for 15 years serving as the Pee Wee House League Chairman for six years.  He was an umpire in Chatham Minor Baseball for 20 plus years as well as coaching Youth Bowling for twenty years.

His real love though was hockey and starting with Bruhlman’s Junior Maroon teams he has been a constant volunteer as their scorekeeper and timer for the past 25 years.  He is also responsible for the arranging of the other off-ice officials for each game.  He scored for the Chatham Senior Maroons for 5 years before the Chatham Wheels pro team came to town in 1992.

Reg is also an accomplished trumpet player and has been a member of the Chatham Concert Band for 55 years.   After retiring from 40 years service at Union Gas he shares his life with his wife, Rose, of 45 years, their two children Dale and Sharon and their 7 grandchildren.
