Frank came to Chatham to play and star for the Senior Maroons in the 1949-50 season that would see them win the International Hockey League championship.  After his playing career Frank would go on to coach the Chatham Senior A Maroons in the Ontario Hockey League.  This was a team that he assisted in forming along with Col. T. Weir, Dr. C.D. Keeley, Mark Hanna and George Sherman.  He would become responsible for the financial well being of the club by being its Business Manager in 1955/56.

During this time Frank was eager to share his leadership with the Chatham youth and in 1951 was a founding member of Chatham Minor Hockey.  He would later become its president and for his support and efforts he would become a life member of the Chatham Minor Hockey Association.

His love for the game was not restricted to playing and managing.  For 17 years he refereed in the CMHA, the OMHA, the OHA and the IHL.  Later he became involved with the formation of the Chatham Maroon Alumni and acted as a Director for them.

Gifted with a love for baseball as well, Frank was the bench manager of the 1950 Chatham Senior Baseball Team.  He chaired the JayCee Squirt Baseball program from 1952-54 and was instrumental, along with Ross Babcock, in bringing in Jack Fairs to become Director of Chatham Minor Baseball in 1953.   This proved to be a very successful move that saw Chatham become a provincial baseball power house and turn out large numbers of excellent ball players.

Frank remains active in his support of the Junior Maroons, the Maroon Old-Timers, and the preservation of Maroon heritage.
